Getting engaged, I feel, is one of the most exciting moments in your life. Your boyfriend finally slipping on that ring of love on your finger and asking you to be his wife leaves you stunned and speechless. Whenever I look at my ring, I always remember our proposal and it brings a sweet smile to my face. Ever since I got engaged I would always admire other women’s ring design. Some were very modern, some were antique-ish and some were interesting. However, I have come across a few ladies that absolutely hated their rings but just didn’t have to guts to say anything…that brought me to think about this: How involved were you in selecting the design of your ring? Did you have any say in it or was it a complete surprise? I’d love to hear about how well your husbands and fiances chose your ring!

I had a little input into the design of my engagement ring. He asked for my thoughts and what I liked. As my ideas evolved, he stopped listening quite so closely (shocking!) and I ended up with a solitaire – which was totally fine.
We ended up having our first child about 10 months after we got married, so I wasn’t thinking about the ring too much at that point – or since :) One of these days, I might have to have it re-set.
